Model SDKFZ 184 ELEFANT - Painting part 2
Time to paint!
I decided to try a technique called - color modulation. As far as I know - The color modulation technique was developed by Adam Wilder – respect. The purpose of this technique is to highlight the details of the model. I would even say - extracting the detail of the model. So we forget about realistic lighting. We treat each plane/surface as if it was individually illuminated. Two different shades of the same color meet at the joints of the planes - thanks to this, we obtain a high contrast.
I haven't mastered this technique for
sure, but I like it and I will work on it.
See what I was able to get. Next time I will try to differentiate the shades even more.
I have the impression that my color modulation - was killed by camouflage... Next time to avoid this, I will use a much lower paint coverage
